BTS has officially announced that tickets for their upcoming world tour will be available for purchase on-site at designated venues through Weverse. This development is confirmed and marks a shift in ticket sales strategy, impacting fans and event organizers alike.
BTS has announced that tickets for their upcoming world tour will be available for purchase on-site at concert venues through Weverse. This confirmed development, communicated via the group’s official platform, marks a new approach to ticket sales that could influence fan access and event logistics.
The group’s management confirmed on March 2024 that select tickets for the BTS WORLD TOUR would be sold directly at concert venues on the day of the event. The announcement was made through Weverse, BTS’s official fan community platform, and is intended to supplement online sales channels.
According to the official statement, ticket sales will be limited to a specified number per venue and will be available only during designated hours. The move aims to provide fans with additional purchasing options and reduce online ticketing congestion, which has been a concern in previous tours.
Sources from the group’s management clarified that this on-site sales plan is part of a broader effort to enhance accessibility and manage high demand, especially in regions where online sales have faced issues such as website crashes or scalping.
Potential Impact on Fan Ticket Access and Event Logistics
This announcement is significant because it introduces a new ticketing approach that could change how fans access concert tickets, potentially easing online demand and reducing scalping. It also indicates a flexible, multi-channel sales strategy that might influence future tour planning and ticketing policies.
For fans, the availability of on-site sales could mean increased chances of securing tickets, especially in high-demand markets. For organizers, it presents logistical considerations for managing in-person sales and ensuring fair access.

Previous Ticketing Challenges in BTS Tours
Historically, BTS concerts have seen overwhelming demand, leading to website crashes, scalping, and sold-out venues within minutes of online sales opening. These issues prompted discussions about alternative sales methods.
In recent years, some artists and organizers have experimented with on-site sales or in-person lotteries to address these problems. However, the official use of on-site sales for BTS’s world tour marks a notable shift, confirmed by the group’s management.
“Many fans have faced difficulties with online sales in the past, so the on-site option is a welcome development that could help more people attend the concerts.”
